Managing Director

The founding member of the team, Rob is from the creative side of the agency world, starting life as a copywriter and becoming Creative Director of agencies he worked at, before setting up Brandtrain. He’s still very hands on creatively, and has a passion for producing campaigns that deliver fabulous returns on investment, which is where our Consumer Psychology and Marketing Strategy come into play. “Having been in the industry for (and I can’t believe this) around 25 years, I’ve been privileged to work with some phenomenal international and national blue-chip household names, as well as some amazing entrepreneurial local companies. I've been lucky enough to drive the rebrand of Shell Global Solutions throughout the world, helped launch the M&S Bank Credit Card (the largest card launch in UK history) and I was also there when they went on tv for the first time. I've launched The Co-operative Bank's Current Account on tv and in the press and DM, as well as producing countless other tv spots and campaigns for their land and credit card portfolio. I've helped save lives with Cheshire Fire and Rescue and helped raise the profile and the coffers of charities. I've been really lucky to work on some amazing accounts with some wonderful clients throughout my 25 years as creative director. But what I love most, and what keeps me going, is that no two briefs are ever the same!”
